I started playing the trombone aged 9 with the Salvation Army in Ilford, Essex and played with them for 16 years.

During my school days I played in the school orchestra, and 14 years with the North East London SA Youth Band on bass trombone

I come from a musical family, my brother is currently Solo Trombone with Epping Forest Brass Band ( which Soo also used to play for).

I relocated upon marriage in 2003 to Bolton and now play for Sale Salvation Army Band on 1st trombone.  Russell introduced me to Sale Brass Band in 2010 when they had a solo trombone vacancy and I am enjoying playing in such a friendly band.
