I joined the band in 2002 and play 'somewhere on the back row', currently Repiano Cornet. I took over the role of General and Contest Secretary in 2008. 

As Contest Secretary I have had the great thrill and priviledge of being the player to go up and collect 2 trophies on behalf of the band, a fantastic experience, which I hope to repeat many more times!

I am the second member of the band to have started their musical life in Essex ( I'm very proud of my Essex heritage!), having played intermittently over the last 20 years both in Essex and Berkshire wind bands and brass bands.
